GW Factions Drabble two

Months later....

Time had seemed to moved faster than Karel the Swift did at the Shing Jea Monastery. He had in fact gained quite the reputation for being rightfully called “The Swift”, even Panaku had taken to addressing Karel by that nickname.

Panaku had become quite impressed with all of his students, Yu Hua Ling herself impressed him for learning necromantic curses, Karel had decided to also report to Sister Tai to train in healer ways. In a way, he almost felt sorry for her, so many students went to Sister Tai.

But in fact, Panaku even saw an Elementalist come to him, Lani Fuse, who even wore more than Yu Hua Ling. These three impressed him the most, although Kai Ying took care of Lani Furse most of the time. Master Togo himself even seemed to be impressed by these students, as well as Yijo Tahn, the one student who was the most enthusiastic about his studies.

Thinking of the such impressive things from headmasters and instructors alike, Master Togo begun to ponder, which were his most promising students? Yijo Tahn was one of them indeed, but at the same time, two of the three assassin students, as well as one of the two elementalists. It hadn’t been for several years he had taken more than two or three students to meet Minister Cho, although he had eight at one point, this wouldn’t be the largest crowd.

Finally, he let out the summons to Karel the Swift, Yu Hua ling, and Lani Furse. Yijo had already been closest, he actually gave the summons to Yijo himself. Within the hour, the three others joined him in the Linnok Courtyard.

“Now I have a rare honour to bestow upon you. Every year, I bring my most promising students for a formal introduction. I have selected you three, along with Yijo here for this honour. Meet me in Sunqua Vale just outside the monastery gates and we shall proceed to Minister Cho’s estate.” Togo said. Even past the masks that the two assassin’s wore, he could see a smile.

“We are honoured,” Lani Furse said, bowing as Karel and Yu did the same.

“Most excellent, I will meet you there,” Master Togo said.

“This will be a glorious time! Oh if only my mother back in Kaineng could be here for this!” Yijo Tahn said excitedly.

Togo and Yijo walked out of the Linnok Courtyard, giving the three time to prepare.

“No, I will see YOU there!” Karel said as the two Ritualists left.

He practically vanished, as if he had shadowstepped. Having trained with him the most, Yu knew how impressive this was, Karel never really did anything involving the Shadow Arts.

“We should meet them there, Ling,” Lani Furse said to her Assassin friend, “do you need anything?” obviously referring to clothes. An elder student had mentioned something about a monk who loved to look at women dressed just like Yu Hua Ling did.

“I’m good, I got my daggers ready for any mantids that run in our path, After all, what’s the worst that could happen at Minister Cho’s estate?”
